Today’s Online Concepts is an independent virtual assistant offering an array of administrative and personal support services. The term “virtual” implies work assignments and service deliveries are communicated via the Internet, fax, telephone, email, and other advanced technology modes. I have worked as an administrative assistant and executive assistant for the past 10 years and offer my expertise as such.
The benefit to the client is no additional office space or equipment is required, no fringe benefits paid and only pay for work performed. Unlike temporary workers, VA's are entrepreneurs and have a vested interest in the success of their clients.
In addition to my business, I am a senior at The University of Texas at Arlington. My major is Interdisciplinary Studies with three areas of concentration (Technical Communication, Computers and Business Management, and Effective Communication). I consider myself a non-traditional student and will graduate in December 2006. My ideal job is to work as a documentation specialist and as an independent virtual assistant. In addition, I set aside about 15% - 25% of my income in order to take a vacation to Hawaii. This is a graduation present to me, celebrating all my years of hard work getting through college. Going through college has been really tough for me, due to a few hard life tragedies’. I truly believe I am a stronger person today for it. I consider myself a positive person!
