Whim Boutique is the ultimate shopping experience. focusing on casual chic, whim is a one-stop shop for contemporary jeans & tees. they feature many fresh lines like Jet, William Rast, Hudson, Earnest Sewn, Project e,Fresh Karma, J&Co, Rachel Pally & 2b Free.

Whim was founded by Melissa Fairchild with the help of her sister Caitlyn. Whim Boutique brick & mortar store was opened in March 2007 on Main st in Burlington, Vermont. the web boutique, whimboutique.com, launched shortly after in August 2007.

If you visit the store in Burlington, you see that whim has a clean look with white walls, bamboo floors and chocolate brown fixtures. It is reminiscent of a boutique one might see in Miami or La. The focus for the store is to make it easy to shop, with clean, nicely spaced racks. The white crisp walls make the clothing standout and that really is what it is all about. Whimboutique.com is an extension of this vision.

"Oh my god, I love this new boutique. I found it in last spring and find myself there almost every week to see the new pieces that come in. The lines are current and seen in all of my magazines. The owner and the other employee (who I think is her sister) are welcoming and super helpful. They run around to bring things to the dressing room but aren't at all pushy like the girls at some other boutiques. Once when I went in the owner had even made cupcakes to give away to people who came in! "

"Whim is a great store for good hard to find jeans and tee shirts! I got the cutest pair of Scanty shorts, there as well as a great Maxx green bracellet! The location is great- and much easier to park near then Church Street- I def make it my first stop in Burlington!! "

"Whim is a great addition to the Burlington shopping scene. As someone who values quality brands and is an avid shopper in larger cities, it is great to see these brands in our small town of Burlington. Often times, brands that hit the west coast do not make it to the east coast until months later, sometimes even a year. Whim has changed this by bringing the top brands from LA and New York to Vermont. The service is great as well and it's always a pleasure to stop in, even if just to say hello! I"   more...
